Captain’s Noon Report – Gallant Lady

Location: Isla San Diego Reef, North Point Isla San Jose, Isla San Fransisco

Status: Wind 5-8kts S and 1-2 ft swells, with average visibility 15m and water temperature 27C

The weather this morning was calm with light winds from the South. We moved to San Diego for one dive with mild current from the north, 15m visibility and water temperature 27C. There was good fish life with lots of glass fish, scorpion fish, snapper and grouper, nudibranchs and bullseye electric rays and various moray eel species. The second dive was at the north point of Isla San Jose. We saw green turtles, various moray species, large schools of razor surgeonfish and anthias. We are now moving to Isla San Fransisco for the third dive down the San Jose straight, looking for whales and dolphins. No luck as yet but have seen several mobula rays breaching.
