Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2025-10-22

NBA at anchor NW of Coronado Island, on 120 ft depth, 2.5 shots out. N wind 12 kts, 2-3 ft seas. Clear sky, no clouds. Hot and sunny day. Air temp 31C. Water temp 27C.

We arrived last night to Coronado Island. Departed Danzante island after dinner, we had taco night at sun deck last night and everyone loved it.

This morning winds were calm, there was N´ly swell. Now wind is picking up from the North.

We have done 2 dives so far, first one we dove the NW point where the sea lion colony is as all guests wanted to see sea lions. They enjoyed it so much, a few big males and more small ones were hanging out on the rocks and some swimming with guests, the visibility was great 25+ mts and temperature 27C. It was a good dive.

Second dive was as good as first one, we dove Piedra Blanca, a lava finger with a lot of soft coral, and in the deepest area black coral, a lot of different kind of reef fish, some divers saw an octopus and a couple of mobulas. Others saw a sea turtle. Divers came up out of the water saying it was amazing.

The viz was great 25-30 mts and a light current from West to East.

Planning to do 2 more dives in the sea lion colony and Piedra Blanca. We will departure to Las Animas tonight after dinner.
