Good day everyone!
NBA reporting from southside of San Benedicto Island anchored in Fondeadero with 1.5 shots in the water, on 50 ft depth.
We arrived at the island around 0600 hrs and started the dive operation at 0700 hrs. We have great weather here in the islands, with clear sky and light NW 5 winds and long swell 2-4 ft height NW. Air temperature 26°C. The water temperature is 21°C and the visibility on Fondeadero and Cañon is around 30 ft.
During the checkout dive, all our divers had great performance with their buoyancy and testing their equipment.
The 2nd dive at El Cañon was very good, even with not a great visibility, our divers were amazed with the great quantity and diversity of marine life on the dive site; Hammerheads, Galapagos, Silkies, Silver Tips, White tips, Mantas and a couple of dolphins around interacting with our divers. We will make one more dive in Cañon and then make the last dive in “The Zoo” to comply with the CONAMP request for this season about the mandatory dive site of every trip.
During the cocktail hour we will do an activity with the guests to fill in some dive site questionnaires. After dinner we will head up to Roca Partida for our dive day tomorrow.
