I miss them so much. I did not know how much I needed my session of manta love till today. This morning we had a magical encounter with two oceanic manta rays at La Reina Lighthouse north of Cerralvo Island, For several moments I felt I was in Socorro. We were at the canyon of the dive site enjoying the sea lions when the manta started coming towards the site from the blue. It was a chevron male and it decided to stop and circle us around very slowly. Looking at all the divers of the group.

Breathtaking. To see the two schools of these species together. At one moment I thought there were three sharks getting clean in one of the outside pinnacles but there were the biggest three milk fishes I have ever seen. When we thought that the dive could not get better a Chevron Oceanic Manta Ray came to show us all its majesty. Another memorable dive in La Reina. Another example of how every season the Sea of Cortez is getting better!

What a nice dive we had here. Our guests came up super happy. After this dive, we went to the next place called las Animas for another 3 amazing dives. On all the dives we had a nice interaction with the Sea Lions and one of the groups found a large school of Hammerhead Sharks.

On our first morning of this trip, we woke up by La Ventana bay in front of Cerralvo Island. Soon we spotted two fin whales and we were watching them from the flying bridge when suddenly we saw 5 to 10 different spouts! Our hearts started to beat faster when we saw those whales were sperm whales! A big pod of at least 20 individuals. Some adults, some young, and a few babies. It was incredible to see these whales from so close.

We have had several close encounters with humpback, fin and minke, and blue whales. Yes! Blue whales are the biggest animal ever on earth. We had other encounters that have blown my mind many times! Seen and swimming with orcas and saw a migration of sperm whales! These giants were gentle and chill in groups of 10 to 20 but were all together probably one hundred individuals.

Today we spend the day at a dive site called Las Animas. We had an amazing day. All four dives were amazing. The sea lions were the highlight. The interaction with them was amazing. The juvenile ones were super playful. They stayed with us for all of the dives. They were playing with our bubbles. The guests were super happy.
