We have moved the ships back to our original base of many years in Cabo San Lucas as of February 10, 2018 on all Socorro departures. Job number one is to ensure this does not cause any stress or inconvenience for any our guests.
We fondly remember arriving in Cabo San Lucas 15 years ago, and being expertly looked after by our new friends at Pisces Marina. We also remember spending many evenings at Squid Roe and Cabo Wabo with our guests in the early days, but that's a story for another time! Unfortunately the Pisces Marina was wiped out by Hurricane Odile one summer, and we had to find a new place to dock the ships, which is when we moved to San Jose del Cabo.
The good news is that the marina has been rebuilt and we have moved back home to Cabo San Lucas. There are many benefits to being based out of Cabo San Lucas, including being closer to Socorro Island (less sailing time), more choices in hotels at all price points, and lots of interesting activities and ways to spend your day before and after your trip.
What you need to know
Our hospitality suite at the Tesoro Hotel in Cabo San Lucas will be open from 12 noon onward on your boarding day, and is also available to leave your bags at after your trip upon disembarkation. The Tesoro is a fabulous location right on the water. We will provide transfers for the 5 minute ride to the ship just prior to our 8 pm boarding time. And, if you wish, transfers back to the hospitality suite after your trip.
We are closing our hospitality suite at the El Ganzo hotel in San Jose and providing complimentary transfers to the Tesoro for any guests already booked at the hotel or other local San Jose properties. We recommend the Tesoro hotel as a nice, clean, 3-star property. Alternatively, Cabo Villas offers complimentary concierge service and recommendations on other local properties from private villas complete with a private chef, to more budget orientated hotels.
