Our beautiful Leopard 45 sailing catamaran provides a different and intriguing way to experience the Sea of Cortez. Sailing is fun. Sailing is awesome! And we combine that with all the activities you could want from kayaking, shore hikes, beach walks, swimming, paddle board to snorkelling and scuba hosted by our captain, naturalist guide and our chef and fine dinging.
About Mango Wind
Our Leopard 45 sailing catamaran was made famous as one of the most popular charter boats in the Moorings Fleet. It’s very comfortable with 3 guest staterooms (plus a crew stateroom) with individual heads and showers as well as a main salon all with air con. The outside cockpit is vast with a large dining table and couches to lounge around in. Of course, one of the main advantages of a catamaran is that the twin hulls provide great stability and loads of outdoor space. The boat heels very little under sail and is very steady at anchor..

Orcas in the Sea of Cortez
The orcas (killer whales) of the Sea of Cortez exhibit behaviour that is unique to Baja and Norway. They choose to interact with snorkelers and free divers who are in the water. The orcas can be curious and inquisitive and will swim over to us, gracing us with the experience of a lifetime. With our local knowledge, network of spotters and our own airplane, we will know where and when orcas are in the area.
