San Ignacio - Pacific Gray Whales
January 25, 2022 - January 28
4 days of whale watching
San IgnacioSeason Opener! Baja California is the only place in the world where whales choose to physically interact with humans and literally seek out petting, stroking and even hugging and kissing. This interaction is incredibly unique. We guarantee you will never forget the first time a whale looks at you from up close with giant eyes that convey wisdom, intelligence and peace and serenity.
As we near 30 years of running these adventures, we have upped our game entirely for 2022 with new glamping and luxury tents including ensuite bathrooms and showers, 24 hour power, heat, fine dining, excellence in guest experience and convenient 1 hour 50 minute flight seeing charters from San Jose del Cabo (Los Cabos).
Your adventure starts on January 24th with afternoon humpback whale watching in Cabo (no touching allowed with the humpbacks) and a complimentary Backscatter photo workshop before flying out to camp the next day on a morning or noon flight. The date shown in your booking confirmation is your fly-day to camp.
Don’t forget to ask about our pre-trip adventures including scuba diving, swimming with whale sharks in the Sea of Cortez or snorkel adventures at Cabo Pulmo. The Baja Expeditions difference starts with hostess meeting you with champagne when you land to a beautiful serene camp protected from most winds on the uninhabited north side of the lagoon to as many as 3 panga rides per day weather permitting.
Returning to San José Del Cabo by 1:00 pm earliest after a last morning of whale watching.
