Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Belle Amie โ€“ 2024-08-14

Belle anchored at Bahia de LA today. Wind at the moment is from the east around 10-12kts, light chop in the bay, clear skies, hot with an air temp of around 38C.

Yesterday afternoon we had two more great dives at SPM after lunch including more hammerheads and lots of sealions on the 3rd dive. Today so far we’ve completed one round of whale sharking which was successful. Everyone had some good encounters including a big momma and some mobulas around.

One of the pangas had some mechanical issues and was drifting for 20 minutes or so but they got it sorted and had good whale shark encounter after.

Viz today is much better than last week with 10-12m and water temp 28C at the surface. Finishing up lunch now and will head out for round 2 shortly. We’ll do one late afternoon dive after the whale sharking and then overnight back to SPM for our last dive day tomorrow.
