Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-11-19

Anchor in 60Ft we are at the Canyon, this morning we started in The Boiler, the dive was good, some saw dolphins, tiger shark, a handful of hammerhead sharks and the mantas of course.

Visibility was 50Ft or so, current running to the east, but the surface weather conditions were nasty, huge NW swells made the embarking and disembarking of the skiff a risk challenge so after first dive I decided to come here to the Canyon, here wind is 6Kts NW, air temperature is 73F, flat seas, ocean here is 75F, visibility is almost 100Ft, little current running south.

Dive is easy and the marine life is abundant, the cleaning station was loaded with silver tip sharks, Galapagos, silkies, the reef white tips were around, the mantas came and went, one of the groups had a manta for over 50 minutes, everyone got a great time, someone came saying he saw a tiger shark, we have planned two more dives here.

Skies with heavy clouds little sun light making it to the ocean, day feel cold, the old hot cocoa trick is working and guests happy to be greeted with it after the cold dives.
