NEX at anchor at Cabo Pearce 95 ft depth 2.5 shots out. Weather: Wind still blowing from North 15-20 kts, 1-2 ft seas in the bay, 3-4 ft outside. Clear sky. Air temp 22C.
Yesterday after the last dive at Punta Tosca we went to navy base for check in, it was quickly and smooth. A soon as navy disembarked, we brought up the anchor and moved to Cabo Pearce. Dropped anchor at Cabo Pearce behind the wall for a good shelter from the wind.
Today it has been windy as well but not as yesterday, but it is nice inside the bay. On the first dive was good but kind of quiet for Cabo Pearce, all groups saw 1 manta in the whole dive some silkies and silvertips and reef fishes.
Conditions underwater were good there was no current and viz was 15-20 mts, temp. 23C. as the weather conditions on the surface wasn’t so good.
It got better on second dive, 4 mantas most of the dive with the divers, one of the groups had dolphins for around 30 mins. There were some juvenile Galapagos, silvertips sharks as well. Everyone liked this dive.
We have 2 more dives to go today and then we will depart to Roca Partida after dinner to finish our last diving day there. Forecast showing winds will decrease tonight, so it will be a fun ride to Roca tonight.
