back home if someone told me I had to get up at 05:15 it would simply not happen. However, here on the Nautilus Explorer, it suddenly seems ridiculous not to get up that early!

Waking up at 6am to get ready for a dive seems way to early. As the sun rises and you see the sky turn orange and pink the excitement builds for what awaits us under the calm seas.  Suit up, jump in the skiff and we are off  to the site.  Roll in and immediately you see schools of fish…our group was  on the “hammerhead mission” as a result we followed DM Liz into the deep blue on the hunt for elusive Hammerheads.   As we went into the deep blue we see a number of different kinds of sharks and than look to one side and what do we see?  At least 4 dolphins doing what looks like a dance to entertain us and welcome us To Roca Partida.   Then we got to see DM Janice try to do a sign/dance underwater that Whalesharks are near was a great sight to see at 80ft.  Can’t wait to see what the afternoon dives bring!  Great way to get into the dives at Roca Partida!

Now, back home if someone told me I had to get up at 05:15 it would simply not happen. However, here on the Nautilus Explorer, getting up that early, seeing the crimson sun rise up over the ocean only to be followed by a dive full of dolphins, a whaleshark, hammerheads, galapagos sharks and countless whitetip sharks, it suddenly seems ridiculous not to get up that early! Clear blue water with 150+ ft visibility and sunny blue skies, its only 08:30 and we still have a full day of diving ahead of us. I cant wait to see what will come next!
