I came here to Guadalupe Island expecting to find chaos and all I found was peace with the Great White Sharks.
I thought be entering the water with some of the most fierce predators in the world I would finally understand what it meant to be a mindeless killer. Instead I started to understand what it meant to be alive.
I will never be able to remove the unimaginable images of a destructive predator swimming towards my helpless human existance, but I’ll always appreciate the pure magificnace of something so much more imposingmg than myself.
I’m not quite sure where I go from here, but this will always serve as a reminder of the brutal strength and beauty this world has to offer in and out of the water.
