Today was my first day diving on the Nautalis Explorer. To say it was amazing would be an understatement. This is truly an experience that has changed me and we still have 4 more days of diving! Today was the first time I have ever seen a giant manta ray. We saw them on all 4 dives, and on the last dive of the day, the biggest manta was still around (earlier in the day there were 6). It went from diver to diver, coasting in our bubbles and swimming gracefully above us. When it came to me, I swam with it for almost a solid 5 minutes. I swam so close to it, underneath it, on top, to the side. I coasted beside her and looked into her eyes as she looked back at me. It was truly spectacular and I will never forget this moment! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store for us!
