This week out at the islands it was all about the Dolphins and Hammerheads. We did get our fair share of the Giant Pacific Mantas that we mainly come to see, but the pods of Bottlenose dolphins did their best to steal the show at both Roca Partida and the Boiler. Early morning dives at both sites brought in numbers of 15-20 of what we call the mermaids(these ones are famous for luring photographers into the blue). Afternoon dives at Roca then brought in Hammerheads,although they kept their distance for the most part its still impressive to see a school of well over 100 coming in near the rock. With water temps of 75F and blue skies we’ll take it.
