Captains Noon Report – Explorer – 2018-05-25

Location: at the Boiler in San Benedicto
Weather: NW 10 -14 Seas NW 4-6 Water Temp 75

Had a nice finish to yesterday with our silky snorkel. Guests didn’t want to get out of the water. We departed roughly at 2230 last night to the Boiler. Arrived at 0300. This morning we were the first on the site with Rocio coming in early this morning. It’s the nicest day of the trip. Sunny skies and wispy clouds. First dive was amazing. A pod of 6 or 7 dolphins swam around our guests for most of the dive. There is a little new born dolphin that stays close to the mother. Some of our crew were at the Boiler a few trip ago to see it being born and now it has become one of the pod members and they are keeping our divers very happy. Also, two mantas kept the excitement going with their casual paths of swimming around the guests. Some of the guests had 5 big Galapagos shark and some silver tips on the south west side of the Boiler. Second dive had more mantas and dolphins and sharks. The dolphins came in close and the mantas even closer. Guests are very happy about the dives and the sun is out and the guests are enjoying the hot tub right before lunch. Crew are all good and guests are happy with today’s dives. We are headed to the Canyon tonight to Dive Red Bluff tomorrow morning then finish up at Canyon in the afternoon with a wine and cheese party.
