Captains Noon Report – Explorer – 2018-06-20

Location: Roca Partida
Weather: Sunny Skies Winds NNE 5-10 Swell N 3-5
Status: Vis 70′ Water Temp 74-77

We are power diving today. DIve DIve Dive is our motto. The guests have had two nice dives at Roca in the morning. The wahoo are everywhere. School of 50 to 60 wahoo pass over our heads on each dive today. The sun is out and the rays of light pierce the water and shine on the wahoo. Streaks of blue and black color the upper part of the gamefishbody. More flashes are seen and it is the yellowfin tuna now being illuminated. Big schools of massive tuna reflect as they swim on their sides. The shark action is just as good with 7 to 8 Galapagaos sharks swimming together and a health number of silver tips swim close to the ledge of the rocks. Silky sharks like to stay with the schools of tuna and can be seen through out the dive site running with the countless numbers of tuna. A solitary mobula ray glided by and then turned while guest were underneath getting videos of the less seen animal. It’s been a good day so far and we still have more to come.
