Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2018-09-03

Location: Anchored at Guadalupe Island
Weather: partly sunny skies, calm wind and seas

Visibility for the most part has been good, especially on the surface. A little hazy at times deeper. Water temp is around 70 degrees and little to no current. Yesterday continued to be a great day. The visibility improved and the action was awesome. Two sharks jumped completely out of the water. One almost completed a back flip in the process. Last night we added Jenni Walmsley, Sgt Pepper, and Geoff Nuttal to the list of identified sharks for this trip, which now totals 12. Not to mention one good possibility of a newly identified shark. Today we have excellent action once again. We had two sharks go for the bait at the same time. Both coming out of the water but neither of them getting the tuna -the wrangler was too quick.
