Captains Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2018-09-08

Weather: Visibility is excellent, 100’+, and the water temp is around 70 degrees
Status: Anchored at Monkey face Guadalupe Island

Another sunny, calm, perfect day. Today the wind swell is very small and the light current we had this morning has disappeared. . Around noon yesterday the action really heated up and stayed great the rest of the dive day. We often had 4 sharks visible at the same time. Last night we added 3 more to our list of 8 sharks Identified for this trip: Luca Arnon, Jaques, and Mikaela Victoria. Yesterday afternoon a baby Guadalupe fur seal came by to check out the boat. Everyone that was on the back deck got to watch nature in action as within a minute of appearing a shark noticed. On the first pass, the shark just seemed curious and the seal seemed completely unaware it was in any danger. It’s amazing seeing these animals interact in their natural habitat, what an experience!
