Captains Noon Report – 2018-10-18

Location: Just North OF Sweet Spot East Guadalupe Island
Weather: Winds NNW 10-15 some warmer Santa Ana winds blowing NNE 1-2 wind chop Air Temp 73f Water Temp 70f Vis 100 plus

Good crossing over. Came in last night at 2000. Cages in by 2100. Sharks started early in the morning. Up to 5 around the submersibles. Surface action has been good. Only small females really going after the baits. Two other sharks joined in at the surface. The Nautilus Undersea, Belle Amie, and Islander are here. We are the furthest north. Wind not bad but there is a slight NNE swell with a strong northerly current so we had the stern pointing into the wind and was a little bumpy in the surface cages earlier in the morning. Didn’t stop the sharks and guests coming around. School of 25 or so small yellowfin tuna deeper but easy to see. All guests & crew happy.
