Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2018-12-03

Location: Cabo Pearce, Socorro isla
Weather: Sun and cloud, 4/10 wind 5knots in anchorage

Our afternoon yesterday was good finishing 2 dives at the Canyon with sharks and a couple manta. Nearly all guests had at least one manta interaction of some form on the first day. We departed after dinner for night run to Socorro. We conducted Naval inspection first thing. Dive 1: Good Dive- wt 25c reported vis 70-90′ mix bag of creatures including 2 Mantas circling divers, 1 hammer head, numerous other species of fish and sharks. DM’s started near point and moved outwards onto stations and current was minimal. This afternoon we will complete 2 more dives, and evening before dinner and then our silkie snorkel.
