Captains Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2019-08-01

Location: position 29-08.7′ N 118-17.1′ W

Status: Anchored at Guadalupe Island at in 250′ of water .15 nm from shore.

Yesterday the shark action continued to be great and we finished the day off with a taco fiesta on the sundeck followed by a beautiful starry night. Today we have somewhat milky water on the surface with 30-40′ visibility and 80-100′ at the depth of the submersibles. Water temp. is still around 68, the sun is out, the see is calm, and the winds and current have been light and variable. The shark action has been slow so far today. We have had one or two sharks around most of the morning but they have been uninterested in the bait or cages. In the last couple hours it has begun to pick up. Andy is back and is hungry, we also have the Joker, Kenric and an unidentified juvenile male checking us out. We are hoping the action continues to improve the rest of the day. Guests are doing well, Crew is also.
