Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2019-08-11

Location: Guadalupe Island, .15nm from shore
Weather: Calm wind, 1-2’ N windswell, 100’+ visibility and 67 degree water
Status: Anchored in front of the Monkey’s Face in 250’ of water

Yesterday continued to be a relatively slow day with only a few sharks that seemed uninterested in the bait. Even Andy showed up and seemed like he had eaten plenty. After the end of the day we moved south .4nm. Taco fiesta was great as always. Today has been excellent. We have had at least 4 sharks today including Mike and Luca Arnone. They have been very active and we have lost a lot of tuna. All the gusts are super excited getting great views of the sharks in action.
