Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2019-08-21

Location: Guadalupe Island
Weather: 68-70 water temps, and 100’+ visibility, 10-12 knots of SE wind
Status: Anchored at Guadalupe Island 13nm from shore.

Yesterday the action continued for the rest of the day. It was a really excellent day for sharks. We had at least 7 different ones. No one knew which way to look because there were sharks everywhere, circling the cages, chasing the tuna, and we even had two full breaches. We had Eowyn, Renegade, the Joker, Poseidon, Sgt. Peppers, Mike and a few other unidentified ones. The shark action today is still quite good. We have had 3-4 sharks around the boat all morning and recently they have been getting much more active. Renegade and Poseidon are definitely still here.
