Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2020-02-18

Location: Socorro Island
Weather: Sunny Skies, N wind 10-15 kts and N wind swell 2-4′ on the dive site, 75 degree water, 60-80′ visibility, and light current
Status: Cabo Pearce

We finished the day yesterday with one dive at Punta Tosca with cold, green water (72 degrees and 20-30′ visibility) then headed on to the Navy inspection and Cabo Pearce for the Silky Snorkel. Today’s dives have been good. We had mantas on the first dive and dolphins at the end of the second. The conditions are calm and beautiful in the bay and the guests enjoyed a calm night’s sleep and a stable boat after days of rocking and rolling. Tonight we will head to San Benedicto for our last two days of diving.
