Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2020-02-19

Location: San Benedicto Island
Weather: Sunny skies, Wind 10-15 NNW, Swell 3-5′ N wind, Visibility 60-80′, Light current, Water Temperature 76 F
Status: Anchored at The Boiler

We finished the day yesterday with two more dives at Cabo Pearce. The current picked up and the visibility decreased, but the animals stayed and all in all, it was a great day of diving. This morning’s dives have been truly excellent. There were at least 6 different mantas playing with the divers on both dives. But that is not all, we had dolphins on the first dive and hammerheads on both! Humpback whales have been breaching in the distance, but none have come close. We are going to do at least one more dive here and then see for the last dive today. Tomorrow we will start at the Canyon.
