Captain’s Noon Report – Under Sea – 2020-02-22

Location. Lat 19.19.77 N, Long 110.48.72 W now anchor close to the boiler, on 110 ft

Weather: very clear conditions with blue skies and no clouds all day. N wind around 2-4 kts, NW swell 0-2 ft.

We did 2 dives at the canyon, first dive (check dive) was good with a very light current from heading SE, 25m visibility and 23 C temp. Our diver could see 2 chevron mantas, a school of 10 hammerheads and some silvertips and galapagos on the cleaning station. Everyone was happy with the dive, second dive was also good, same conditions but this time no current, but a little more action on this dive with 2 friendly mantas, white tips, big galapagos, one tiger shark some silver tips and a school of 12-15 hammerheads super close to the divers around 3- 4 mts from them. Good humpback whale action coming to the boiler breaches and some slaps on the water. Guests are happy.
