Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2020-03-04

Location: Socorro Island
Weather: Mostly sunny skies, Wind N 10 knots, Swell 3-5′, Visibility 80′, Water Temperature 76 F
Status: Anchored at Cabo Pearce

We had two more great dives at The Canyon yesterday followed by sunset whale watching. We then headed to Cabo Pearce after the Taco Fiesta. Today our first dive was amazing with mantas and hammerheads. On the second dive the current picked up going to the north and some cold green water moved in. There were a few fleeting glimpses of mantas, but otherwise, it was quiet on the big animal front. We will do one more here and then head to the Navy, followed by Tosca for the silky snorkel and on to Roca Partida for tomorrow.
