Captain’s Noon Report – Under Sea – 2020-03-04

Location: Punta Tosca
Weather: Winds N 12-14 knots, Swell WNW 5-7′, Visibility 30-40′, Water Temperature 72-73 F, Strong current
Status: Punta Tosca

We finished the day yesterday at Cabo Pearce, our 4th dive was epic with a big school of hammerheads seen by all who dove. We spent the night anchored in the bay around the corner from the navy base and shifted over this morning at 0700. It was mentioned that there are 2 male orcas around Socorro right now, they saw them yesterday and again today off the navy base. Today at Punta Tosca a couple of mantas were sighted at the end of the dive but visibility was low. We will try a dive on the Inner Lava Finger now and perhaps head down to Old Man for the 3rd dive. The silky snorkel will be tonight as well, then heading for Roca Partida.
