Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2020-03-11

Location: Lat N 19 17.7, Long W 110 48.5
Weather: Sunny and warm day, Wind E 4-8 knots, Swell SSE 2-4 ft, Current moderate NNE, Water Temperature 75 F, Visibility 20 m
Status: Anchored at The Canyon, San Benedicto Island

On the first dive, two of the groups could see one chevron manta, some whitetip sharks, a few Galapagos sharks, silvertips and some silkies below the boat along with a couple of stingrays. On the second dive, they could see a large school of big yellowfin tuna hunting, some silvertips, two Galapagos sharks, and two chevron mantas. One of the groups could also see a small school of hammerheads. Let’s see what else we can see on the next two dives!
