Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2020-07-15

Location: Punta Pescadero, about halfway between Cerralvo and Cabo Pulmo
Weather: Sun is shining, Wind SE 5-10 knots, Swell low SE 2-3 feet, Water Temperature 27 C, Visibility 20-25 m
Status: Tonight we will be anchored for dinner and depart probably around 2200, in time to run back to Cabo at 1200 pm and arrive around 0730

La Reina was awesome yesterday. A young male manta was around for a couple of the dives, including hanging out with some divers for up to 15 minutes! Besides the manta, the conditions were beautiful with lots of fish life. We departed La Reina on our transit south and anchored last night at Punta Arena. We did a dive there this morning which was quiet, peaceful, and nice. Then a second nice dive a little further south at Ensenada de Los Muertos. Now we are starting the 3rd dive and looking and hoping for a school of mobulas to jump in and snorkel with. We are seeing lots of individuals around but no big schools. Yesterday we celebrated a couple of guests’ 50th and 60th dives on board with a delicious chocolate cake.
