Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2020-08-23

Location: Anchored near Isla San Martin
Weather: Sky overcast, Wind light NNW, Swell NW 3′, Air Temperature 20 C, Water Temperature 14 C, Visibility 20 m
Status: Going to Roca Ben for our 3rd dive this afternoon

We arrived this morning after a comfortable overnight transit from Sacramento Reef. We finished the day strong yesterday with a 30-minute snorkeling session with some friendly pacific white-sided dolphins. Today, we’ve completed 2 awesome dives and the dive site is beautiful! The top comes up to around 15 m with some giant boulders, swim-throughs, and lots of colorful sponges. We’ve seen loads of fish, including giant black sea bass, and we also spotted a tiny baby dolphin around at the surface. We’ll be getting underway tonight at approximately 1900 hrs to cover the 100 nm back to Ensenada by 0800 tomorrow morning.
