Captain’s Noon Report- Under Sea – 2020-11-15

Location: Cabo Pearce

Conditions: Wind N 12-16 kts, Seas 4-6 ft, Overcast sky with some blue patches.

Yesterday we were at Roca Partida for the last two dives, incredible sea life there. The third dive saw lots of sharks, silver tips, silky sharks, and Galapagos sharks everywhere. A few hammerheads were seen in the blue, along with a big school of tuna and skip jacks. The last dive mantas appeared- 5 mantas in total, two black and 3 chevron, which hung around for 20 minutes with the divers. Today we arrived to Cabo Pearce with visibility around 20 meters, light current to the south, temperature 27-28 C. The first dive was insane: 4 or 5 super friendly mantas, dolphins with all the groups, a few hammerheads, and a whale shark. Second dive, no current, visibility 20 meters, temperature 28 C, more and more manta action with 5 mantas (two black, three chevron) at the same time.
