Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2021-02-28

Location: 18.59.473N – 112.04.869W
Weather: wind 14 kts NE, big swell 4-6ft NE, air temperature 74F, water temperature 73F, mild current, visibility 70 ft
Status: Roca Partida

Lots of fish, more silver tip sharks than usual, lots of yellow fin tunas, balconies filled with white tip sharks, horse eyed and cotton mouth jack in big numbers! Guests are happy with the manta action with four at the same time. La Roca is full of life – whales keep teasing my divers with their singing and they are hoping to see them underwater. Above water is becoming a regular thing to see them splash in the water after a big jump. While picking up the last diver on the second dive, a baby whale jumped just few yards from the skiff!
