Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2021-03-24

Location: San Benedicto

Beautiful morning here at San Benedicto (The Canyon) wind coming from WNW with 5-8 kts and swell around 1-3 ft same direction. The sky was partially clouded but it cleared as the day got older. 50 ft of water below us, and 20 shackles of chain in the water. The wind seems to pick up a little from time to time. Our first dive we did of the platform and was amazing for a buoyancy test dive. Guests encountered a tiger shark, hammerheads, Galapagos, 3 chevron mantas, silky sharks and silvertips. It was an amazing first dive here at The Canyon. Just got back from the second dive. We skiffed and dropped divers at Manta rock. An awesome second dive. Divers encountered a huge school of hammerheads, Galapagos, tigers, 3 Chevron mantas and silvertips. The water temperature was around 22 C.
