Captain’s Noon Report – Under Sea – 2021-04-19

Location: Roca Partida

An overcast day here at Roca Partida. Water temps 23-24 degrees. Light to variable wind from the North, with a 2-3ft surface chop. The first dive had the usual suspects, hammerheads, Galapagos, and white tip sharks. Big schools of Yellow fin, Tuna and bonito, and of course the Jacks. The second dive was similar to schooling hammerheads, white tips sharks. A little quiet today comparatively, but still happy guests. Visibility is also diminished from the previous days. A thermocline at around 10 meters separates a blue band of surface water and greenish water below. Very mild currents. Planning on staying here for the rest of the day.
