Noon Report-Nautilus Under Sea – 2021-04-24

Location: San Benedicto

Weather: Visibility 70-80ft. Water temp 74 degrees.

Overcast day here at San Benedicto, light winds of 5-8kts, 5ft ground swell, with 2-3ft wind swell on top. First dive was at the Fundeadero, lots of white tip reef sharks and Jacks. Heavy surge and no current.

2nd dive here at the boiler, much nicer diving conditions. Still light winds, moderate to no current, similar swell and wave conditions as Fundeadero, but we saw playful mantas, schooling hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, various pods of dolphins and a surprise 3 big green sea turtles in the mix. Planning to stay here for the rest of the day, return to the canyon for Taco night on the sundeck, then get under way this evening for Roca Partida.
