Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2021-04-27

Location: Roca Partida

Anchored at Roca Partida. 255 Ft of water below us and 4.5 shackles of chain out in the water. Beautiful morning at Roca Partida, the northwestern breeze of 3-5 Kts long 3-5 Ft swell from the same direction. Cloudy sky. Our first dive of the day we skiffed and dropped divers at the eastern side of Roca Partida. Divers encountered hammerheads, one manta, lots of white tips, tunas and a few Silvertips. We also skiffed the second dive and dropped divers at the northwestern side of Roca Partida. The current was not strong. Divers encountered lots of white tips, few hammerheads which stole the show due to their curiosity! They stayed with the divers for most of the dive. Viz for both dives was around 50-60 Ft. Water temperature for both dives was 24C.
