Captain’s Noon Report – Under Sea – 2021-04-28

Location: Isla Benedicto

A breezy day here at Isla Benedicto. Diving at the Canyon. Winds out of the NW 12-18kts all morning but appear to be diminishing through the afternoon. Very mild ground swell, with 2-3ft wind chop on top. Water temp 75 degrees. Strong current at Fundeadero, but no current at the dive site. Visibility around 50ft. The majority of divers had multiple sightings of 2 large tiger sharks, schooling hammerheads, silver tips and Galapagos also made appearances, as well as a lonely manta. This afternoon we’ll be staying and diving at the Canyon, maybe diving the lava field for the 4th dive. The passengers will be enjoying wine and cheese on the sundeck around sundown. Tonight we’ll be getting underway for Los Cabos. Planning on departing around 0330 tomorrow morning. Guests are happy.
