Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2021-05-07

Location: San Benedicto

Beautiful morning at San Benedicto. The cloudy sky cleared as the day got older, with a northerly breeze of 3-5 Kts and 3-5Ft swell that remained until now. 102 Ft of water below the Explorer and 3.5 shackles of chain out in the water. In our first dive, we skiffed and dropped divers at the northern side of The Boiler. Divers encountered 2 Chevron Mantas, a school of jacks and octopuses. For the second dive we dropped divers at the northern side of The Boiler, divers encountered 4 Chevron Mantas and a Tiger shark and usual reef fish. Viz for the first dive was around 70-80 Ft, as the sky cleared viz improved to 80-90 Ft easily. The Water temp for both dives was around 22C. All guests are happy!
