Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2021-05-13

Location: Anchored at San Benedicto

Anchored at San Benedicto (The Boiler). 105 Ft of water below the explorer and 2.5 shackles of chain out in the water. On our first dive of the day, we skiffed and dropped divers at the northern side of the boiler rock. Divers encountered a Chevron Manta, few hammerheads, one Galapagos and white tips. On the second dive, we dropped divers at the same spot as we did on the first dive, and divers encountered 2 Chevron Mantas. 3 hammerheads, Whitetips, octopuses, and usual reef fish. Viz for both dives was good 60-70 Ft. Water temp for both dives was around 23C.
