Captain’s Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2021-05-17

Location: San Benedicto

Weather: Wind from NW up to 14 kts and 2 ft SW swell in the anchorage

Hello everyone, the vessel is anchored at San Benedicto, between Canyon and Fondeadero. The first dive of the day was done at El Boiler. During this dive, guests saw a huge turtle, lots and lots of lobsters, 1 chevron manta, a few dolphins in the distance and the usual reef fish. Dive conditions were 21 Celsius water temperature and Visibility around 30 mts. For dive number 2, we moved to The Canyon, where guests got to see many many sharks, Silkys, Galapagos, Hammerheads, white tips, and jacks. We could see a big tuna jumping out of the water every now and then. Dive conditions on this site were different, water temperature 22 Celsius and visibility 20 mts. Our plan is to have another 2 dives here, have our cheese and wine, dinner and leave the island around 2200.
