Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2021-06-26

Location: Anchored at The Boiler

Weather: Cloudy and Calm Seas

Beautiful morning at San Benedico. Our first dive (checkout dive) at The Fondeadero was just amazing. Three minutes after the group jumped into the water, we had three manta rays and one of them was a huge chevron manta ray. We also had a couple of hammerhead sharks and big Galapagos sharks.

Water Temperature: 24°C

Visibility: 50ft

For the second dive, we had around eight dolphins, a manta ray and a couple hammerhead sharks swimming around us as well as some Galapagos sharks.

Water Temperature: 25°C

Visibility: 40ft

We then picked up the anchor and we sailed directly to The Boiler. Our plan is to finish the dives here and then sail directly to Socorro Island.
