Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-03-23

Anchor at San Benedicto ,Canyon, Winds: N 14 -16 kts sometimes gust around 20 kts, Seas: NW 1-2ft short period of swell .Yesterday we finished our day at the Boiler with a beautiful dive. we encountered with 3 chevron mantas playing around the rock and some galapagos sharks , the conditions were not the best, current was strong heading to the E, visibility around 60 ft after the last dive we moved to the Canyon to enjoy our delicious Taco Night, we spent the night at anchor and today we started our 1st dive at 0700 hrs, in this 1st dive the current was strong to the S but our dms could find the sweet spot and we encountered with 1 huge tiger shark, 6 hammerheads , 4 different mantas and 1 galapago shark, all of them were close from the manta rock the 2nd dive was even better because the conditions were better, we did not have current but the marine life was amazing we encountered with the school of hammerheads we would say around 25 or 30 of them, 1 black manta and 1 huge Galápagos sharks.
