Anchored Roca Partida
Winds NW 10-12knt, seas NW 4-6′, skies 60% cumulus, in water vis 100’+ no current, temp 75F
We had two more very good dives yesterday at the boiler. Mantas on both, and two tiger sharks on the last. Everybody had a very good time.
We got underway at the start of dinner and ran through the night to reach Roca by this morning. Conditions here today are pretty good on the surface. 4-6′ gentle seas, with some wind waves on top. A bit of a challenge in/out of the skiffs at the platform but we are managing.
In the water, things are very mellow. No current at all. Some shark activity, with at least a few Silvertips at the cleaning station, and plenty of white tips on the move and on the balconies. We have had distant sightings of mantas on both dives, but none came in close. But guests are still enjoying the schooling jacks, hunting wahoo, and yellowfins.
Our plan is for two more dives here this afternoon and then we will run overnight to Socorro where the guests will get a break from the rough loading process.
