Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-04-26

Hi everyone,

NEX anchored at San Benedicto. Arrived here last night and our guests had a good quiet sleep night.

This morning we started with our check dive from the dive deck and everything went well, with no major issues. During check the dive, divers did see a few white tips, lobsters, and lots of fish, a few of them saw an octopus, and before they got into the water a small pod of dolphins passed by the stern of the boat.

Dive number 2 was better, they dove at the Canyon and saw the sharks at the cleaning station, Galapagos sharks, white tips, silver tips, and also hammerheads. That made them very happy. We have 2 more dives here and after our taco night, we will move to Socorro and dive Pearce tomorrow.

Weather conditions > NW wind 15 knots, NW seas 1-3 ft, water temp 24 Celsius, air temperature 23 Celsius, and visdibility 15-20 meters.
