Captain’s Noon Reports – Undersea – 2023-04-28

NUS Anchored at 19 17.4N-110 48.3W, El Canon, Isla San Benedicto, Sky partly cloudy 90%, wind crazy around 0300 hours this morning. Was very strong and now 12-15 knots from NW with gusts of 20 knots sometimes.

Two dives this morning. Visibility 60ft, Temp 75F, Current light to the east in both dives.

The first dive at the Fondeadero a warmup dive, was successful, All the divers had very good skills. Saw 4 Dolphins and some whitetip reef sharks.

Second dive at the Canyon: School of 20 plus hammerheads,1 Manta, and a few Galapagos, Silvertips in the Cleaning station. For some guests, it was the first time to see Manta & Sharks, and they were very happy. Guests are at lunch and waiting to get back in the water for more action on the afternoon dives.
