Captain’s Noon Reports – Undersea – 2023-05-09

NUS Anchored at 18 59.1N-112 04.5W, Roca Partida, at 250 ft depth, a windy day from the north of 17 knots and gusts of more than 20 knots, waves of 6 feet from the northwest, clear sky, air temperature 76F.

Two dives this morning and quite a challenge to load and unload Guests and diving equipment, but all with extra care. Incredible visibility of more than 100ft, water temperature 75F, and no current, on both dives. Saw the usual whitetips, some Galapagos and silver tips, and yellowfin tunas on the first dive at Roca. On the second dive, a juvenile whale shark was seen by almost all divers. Waiting for Silkys school for afternoon dives.

All guests dived and are happy. Plan for tomorrow the Boiler in San Benedicto Island.
