Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2023-05-21

Gallant Lady searching around south Cerralvo today. A calm, flat morning on the water with winds from the NE increasing after lunch at about 15kts. The sky is clear. Air temp 28C this morning.

All went well yesterday with turnaround and departure, and a smooth run-up overnight. This morning we did the briefing at 0700 and the rhib was out by 0800. We immediately found a big pod of dolphins in La Ventana and the guests splashed several times with the bottlenose and all had some good in-water encounters.

By that time the plane was in the air and they found us a big whale shark nearby, so the rhib headed that way and ended up spending over an hour with it, doing several splashes and everyone got a great time with the big whale shark. Now we are searching between Punta Pescador and Ensenada de los Muertos, the plane is up for the second flight of the day, and we’ll see what we can find.
