Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-06-22

Anchor at San Benedicto, Boiler, Winds: N 4 -6 kts sometimes gust around 7 knots, Seas: NW 3-5ft very long period of swell.

We arrived at San Benedicto at 0030, we spent the night at anchor, and in the morning we started with our warm-up dive. Our divers did a good job, some of them adjust again the weights, and that’s it.

The conditions at Fondeadero were good, the visibility was around 13 mts but at the beginning of the dive there was a big spot of green water, but after the 5 mts of depth the water got clean. We encountered a Black manta, 2 dolphins, some Galapagos, and lobsters.

After we finished with the dive we moved to the Boiler and in our 2nd dive we dove with around 4 mantas and a pod of dolphins. The visibility is good, around 15 mts and there is very light current N–>S, we are going to perform 2 dives more and then we move to the Canyon to enjoy the taco night.
