Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-06-26

Anchor at San Benedicto, Canyon, Winds: N 2 -3 kts sometimes gust around 5 knots, Seas: NW 1-4 ft long period of swell.

Yesterday, we finished the day in Pearce with nice dives. We encountered a couple of mantas, 2 Galapagos sharks, an octopus, and a lot of reef fish. But the visibility decreased for the last dive, it was around 10 mts, and the current switched from moderate to strong heading to the S.

Then we started our way to San Benedicto island, we spent the night at anchor and our 1st dive today was amazing. In the 1st 5 minutes of the dive we encountered 10 dolphins and they played with us for a while, then we found the hammerheads around 7 of them, a lot of Galapagos sharks, silver tips sharks, silky sharks, and 3 very friendly mantas. The conditions are very good, with visibility around 15 mts and no current.

The 2nd dive was awesome as well. This time we found a school of hammerheads, mantas were there as well. We are going to perform two more dives and after dinner, we are going to start our way to Cabo San Lucas.
